Anyone on Alli?

I’m sure this subject has been brought up before, but I was wondering if anyone has any feedback on Alli.  I was thinking about trying it, but I wanted to see if anyone on it had any comments about it first.

The main things I am wanting to know are:

  • Do they give you energy?
  • Do they supress your appetite?
  • How many grams of fat is too many?
  • Any weird side effects? (besides the obvious)

Another day, another five bucks…

LOL, thats what it feels like sometimes!  I had an extrememly busy day today!  Got up early to do my morning dog walks, which I rode my bike to and then went shopping for my daughters birthday party today.  After that it was time for my afternoon walks and then get ready for the party!

I am so proud of myself!  I didn’t touch a single piece of food at the party, no pizza, no ice cream cups, no cake!  And to top it all off it was a skating party, so I got a good workout in.  I was a little disapointed though, because I had forgotten how to skate!  And it took me a while to get the hang of it again, although it was toward the end of the party.  My fiance had to buy a pair of roller blades because they don’t rent them out in his large a size (13) so now he wants to get me a pair so we can blade together.  He had so much fun!!!  The kids had a blast too of course.  The only bad thing about it was that I broke my digital camera!!  I had it in my back jeans pocket, and I fell down on it while I was skating.  And of course my fiance didn’t purchase the waranty when he bought it!  Ugh!

Happy Friday!

I am going to try and drink water all day today.  I know my diet pepsi habit has been stalling my weightloss and I am willing to sacrifice in order to lose weight.  Plus I know water is so much better for my body.  I have been doing so well on my diet, but I don’t feel like I’m getting the results I should be.  I don’t think I am doing my best at exercising, either.  I need to sit down this weekend and actually schedule my workouts into my planner or I am not going to get them done.

Tomorrow is my oldest daughters birthday party, she turned 8 last week and I went shopping to get a new outfit for the party.  I haven’t bought myself any clothes in quite a while and had no idea what size I was.  I bought some size 13 capris and I wore them grocery shopping yesterday (had to make sure I would feel comfortable enough to skate in them) and they were falling down all day!  So I went back to the store and bought another pair size 11 and they fit pretty well, but my love handles were sticking out over them! Ugh!  But I bought them anyways, because my youngest daughters birthday party is the following Saturday and hopefully I will be slightly smaller by then.  I am still keeping the 13’s and just wearing a belt.

I’m having withdrawals

Well, I just started a low carb diet on Sunday and am already having carb withdrawals!  Thats all I can think about!!  I swear I would kill for a slice of pizza right now.  I have been chewing gum and trying to stay busy and I haven’t given in yet, and I don’t plan on it either.  I am allowing myself one small Reese cup a day, as that will only add 4.5 extra carbs to my diet.  I am down 2 lbs already, so hopefully this will be worth it!

Exercise is going well, I got 125 minutes of cardio in today (I walk dogs all day) and I plan on getting another hour in this evening without any dilly dallying dogs. 

Starting Over

Well today I am starting over on my lifestyle change.  I got frusterated several weeks ago and deleted my buddyslim account and went completely off track.  I took care of some issues in my personal and home life and I am hoping to start over fresh. 

 I talked to my doctor about my difficulty in losing weight and she suggested I start watching my carb intake.  So I am doing somewhat of a moderated version of the Atkins Diet.  I did the full on Atkins Diet a few years ago and did really well with it, I just don’t feel like it is healthy to cut out fruits, veggies and whole grains all together.  So I am trying something new, so we’ll see how it works.

 My exercise goals for the week are to bike an hour a day and walk an hour a day, 5 days a week.  I also want to start a strength training program to do 3 days a week.

I am looking for some accountability buddies if anyone wants to team up and keep each other in check!!
